The Excellence United group of companies, in collaboration with REITECH SA, the Southern African Agent for Fette Compacting, Glatt, Harro Höfliger and Uhlmann, recently hosted a successful one-day symposium in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Excellence United Symposium South Africa – Feb. 20, 2019
Two previous symposiums had been hosted in Cape Town, against the scenic background of the majestic Table Mountain. In 2015 though it was decided to move the symposium to Sandton, which is the prime business area in Johannesburg. Though Cape Town is a first stop for tourism, the greater Johannesburg area houses a very large number of pharmaceutical manufacturers in the country.
Once again it was clear that the relevance of topics to the production environment would be of key importance: “Pharmaceutical production: Cutting costs, increasing quality and efficiency through automation”.
The symposium was well attended by representatives of pharmaceutical companies across the greater Johannesburg / Pretoria area. Even some representatives travelled from Port Elizabeth.
Production, engineering, continuous development and other departments were represented.
The attendees’ feedback was that the presentations were of definitive value for the various fields within the pharmaceutical production environment.
The Excellence United group plans to continue with these symposia. The aim is to demonstrate that “Together we build faster, stronger and more cost-effectively”.
